28th. Jan to 1st. April 2012 (Free admission) Towner Art Gallery, Eastbourne An exciting experience awaits you inside the replica Trappers Cabin on the 2nd. floor of the Towner, especially, if like me, you are not used to video games. The exterior of the cabin is covered in printed fabric to replicate the real trappers cabin in the far north of Canada, but once inside, the whole experience becomes surreal. Half a row boat sits on the floor in the centre of the cabin. Oars are attached and ready for you to row on a vast lake. The film of this lake covers one whole wall & you can control where you go. You hear the sound of lapping water, you see snow or stars falling, never quite sure which, and all the time you want to explore the lake in all its aspects both night and day. This is a real experience for adults and children to enjoy and interact with this original installation. I can certainly recommend a visit to this also magical but safe adventure. http://www.townereastbourne.org.uk/exhibition/igloo-visitor/
