Exhibition Statistics - 2017
[By co-founder Oliver Norris] The New Artist Fair returned to London's iconic Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane's art district for the 7th consecutive year showcasing 103 International, new and recently established contemporary artists at the ‘Summer Exhibition' 8th to 10th Sept 2017. We thank both our exhibiting artists’ and our team’s hard work and dedication for the success of this year’s Summer Exhibition, as we celebrate another record year of sales and visitors. |
Artists
Number of Artist Applications - 407
Number of Exhibiting Artists – 103 Number of Visitors - 6,273 This year more artists selected our larger 3m and 4m spaces than in 2016, and we think this gave artists and buyers more scope for showcasing and buying originals and prints. |
Genres
One of the main aims of the New Artist Fair is to exhibit as many styles and genres as possible so that our visitors, buyers and collectors can all find something to fall in love with.
This year we exhibited: abstracts, still-life paintings, geometric resin artwork, stitched textiles, portraits, nudes, landscapes, cityscapes, seascapes, digital art, ceramic pots, raku creations, wooden carved sculptures, several styles of collage, photography and performance art. |

New this year - Photography Zone
New to this year's Summer Exhibition was the introduction of the Photography Zone, where we were delighted that all 5 of our exhibiting photographers made sales, including Christopher Moore, Simon Painter, Michael Lee (4 pieces), Soo Min Leong (2 pieces) & also Diego Brambilla of the Photo X Wall (winners of this year's Photo X Photography Competition)
More to exhibiting at the New Artist Fair than just sales!
There is so much more to exhibiting at our events than just making sales; since the art fair we've heard of countless post-event sales, gallery interest and several other art fairs and exhibitions who have invited our international artists to exhibit at their events. This is beautifully explained within exhibiting artist's Moumita Mukherjee's Blog 'When story teller's meet'
