'Slingshot'

Slingshot is the creation of Christopher Jarratt - He has been producing 3D versions carved from fallen timber gathered from Epping Forest ( see illustration ). The success achieved in this medium ( exhibited in Paris, New York & London ) led him to seek a way to transfer these iconic images into a limited edition in 2D form. I ( John Jones ) run a small bespoke graphic arts company & have been searching for a local artist with the right image for some time.

I met Christopher at a small arts festival at Hackney Wick. It soon became clear that we both had similar ideas. We wanted to continue the narrative - hand crafted images produced with love and care by a craftsman's hand.

My company uses ancient lithographic presses. We use an ancient lithographic progress in which each colour is mixed by hand, each sheet fed and registered by hand and ink fed on to the rollers by hand.Therefore each print will be unique and original.
