My work is usually about the domestic environment, primarily a women’s world. The objects and arrangements I use are essentially feminine and the items reflect possible narratives, dramas, personal experiences, reflections and observations from the past the present and possible futures.
I am interested in the juxtaposition of inanimate objects to create and invite the imagination of the viewer to personally identify with some own nostalgia or half forgotten memory. The apparently trivial impediments of our lives can be engaging or threatening, so the voyeuristic views of other’s lives can, albeit undesirable on occasions, be reassuring.
